This large penthouse apartment (84 m2) comes with underfloor heating and a beautiful high beamed wood ceiling. It has open plan living accommodation, and is furnished to the highest quality throughout. The well equipped kitchen has granite worktops, soft close cupboard doors and glass splash back. Dishwasher, washing machine and dryer are provided.The living area is extremely spacious, with French doors opening onto a south facing balcony, from where superb views of the Lauterbrunnen valley towards the Breithorn can be enjoyed. There is an outdoor table with two chairs. The living area has two large Lombok sofas, 32' flat screen TV with cable network, DVD player, and iPod/iPhone docking station. The apartment also has free WiFi. The large bedroom has a reclaimed teak kingsized bed with White Company bedding. On the ground floor there is a ski/boot storage room for use by guests. Winter.: Lauterbrunnen is ideally situated to access the ski areas of Murren, Wengen and Grindelwald. The transport network is also ideal for non-skiers wishing to meet family and friends for lunch, or to access the whole area. There are other Winter activities to be enjoyed, including snowboarding, ice skating, ice hockey, curling, Nordic walking, sledging on designated trails, including the World's longest above Grindelwald which is 16.5 kilometres. In addition there are more than 100 kilometres of well-prepared winter walking paths, cross country skiing, snow-shoe trekking, ice climbing, and paragliding. Open-air ice rinks can be found in Murren and Wengen.
Spring, Summer and Autumn: The Lauterbrunnen valley is breathtaking at all times of the year. It is famous for its' numerous waterfalls cascading down the 300 metre high sheer cliffs. They are particularly impressive in Spring, when the valley floor is carpeted in alpine flowers. In Summer, hiking tends to be the main activity, and there are many well sign-posted trails which can be enjoyed, whatever you ability. For the more adventurous, there is a 'via ferrata' and endless opportunities for some serious mountaineering and rock climbing. Summers can be hot, and other activities include swimming (pools in Lauterbrunnen and Wengen), and water sports on the beautiful nearby lakes of Thun and Brienz. Other activities include tennis, mountain biking, paragliding and parachuting (tandem flights available) and folklore/cultural events. If you tire of being active, relaxing on the balcony enjoying the spectacular view of the valley, or enjoying a meal at a lakeside restaurant is the perfect way to spend your time in Switzerland.

Locally produced cheeses and fresh eggs are offered for sale at several farms in the valley.
