Barcelona Centre Studio

The apartment is a designer jewel, furnished with 20thC modern classics by Le Corbusier, Eileen Gray, and Phillipe Starck. Contemporary works by American and European artists complement the decor. Distinctive structural ironwork by Barcelona craftsmen contrasts with the 19thC hand-painted, beamed ceiling. Carrer dels Tallers, a pedestrian street that crosses the northern most part of the Old City of Barcelona, begins at the famous Ramblas just below Plaza Catalunya and ends at the Plaza de la Universidad. Tallers has been described as the most characteristic street of the North Raval Barrio. Just around the corner is the sleek new Museum of Contemporary Art designed by Richard Meier. Galleries, boutiques, cafes and restaurants complement the many traditional shops and restaurants in the neighborhood. The area is becoming Barcelona's equivalent of New York's Soho, and was recently described by La Vanguardia as 'the emerging neighbourhood in Barcelona'.
