Sommerset West is about 35 km from Cape Town. It is 30 km to the airport. From the villa you will have a beautiful lake and mountain view. With clear weather, you can look to the Cape of Good Hope. Somerset West is an exclusive resort, because the location is ideal as a location for interesting tours. On the edge of the wine route, you will find the most famous vineyards located in SSW, with an integrated museum. SSW is known as a shopping city, because one of the largest shopping centres in South Africa is nearby. Above all, the beach in Strand is well known, because you can go on wonderful walks along the sea. The sunset is one of the best experiences on the beach. The Indian Ocean has a water temperature of about 23 degrees and more (Nov. to April). In the area around Cape Town - Atlantic Ocean - the temperatures are usually only 18 degrees. Golf: Near the villa you will find countless golf courses. The top courses are: Erinvale, Steenberg and Arabella. For the start, we recommend a flat area. In 10 minutes you are in the Strand Golf Club and have a lot of fun on the long fairways and the demanding wind. This course is absolutely level. Always have tee times; above all, the courses are well booked during the morning hours. Golf accompanying through Jürgen Schäfer (former Hdc 5); golf training for beginners - Jürgen Schäfer is very popular for this! In a radius of about 10 minutes you can reach 10 golf courses. In the villa you can rent out golf clubs free of charge. Of course, the Schäfers are familiar with all golf courses and would be happy to join you.
