Colonial Home in Historic District

The home is a historic house from the early 1800s, but renovated, updated, and remodeled in 2002. It has over 4000 square feet of living area and is located on Washington Square across from the landmark, Abbot Hall. It has off street parking for two cars - a major plus in a summer tourist area. There is a flagstone patio and a large private garden.

The first floor of the house consist of a comfortable living room with fireplace, a formal dining room, a den, a bath and a large modern kitchen with an eating area next to the kitchen fireplace. The large bedrooms are upstairs on the second and third floors, with a central bath on each floor. These rooms are bright and airy with partial views of the harbor. The new furniture fits the colonial style of the home. Three flat screen TVs - one on each floor and a DVD player are provided. The house is very bright (35 windows and 3 sky lights). For winter heating there are two furnaces with separate controls for lower and upper floors.
