Beautiful Guest House!
We travelled with our kids (14, 14 & 17) and couldn’t have picked a better place to stay. Lots of room for all of us, never felt cramped. The listing is 100% accurate, beautiful outdoor & indoor spaces…not to mention a view of the Hollywood sign right from the driveway. The location in the Hollywood Hills was perfect. Secluded, yet less than 10 mins to Hollywood Boulevard and Universal Studios. Frances was very helpful and sweet. We would love to stay again.

Location, location, location!
Cute place for our family of 4. We loved the location, so close (if you have a car) to Universal, the Chinese theatre, walk of fame. Pretty garden to enjoy a beer and look at the hills after a day of sightseeing. Great views of downtown at night and the Hollywood sign in day. Look forward to staying here again!

Hollywood Oasis
This property was the perfect spot for the four of us. The area is quiet, on a dead-end street with almost no traffic. You can see the Hollywood sign from the driveway, and the Griffith Park Observatory from just down the hill. The two bedrooms are well separated offering privacy, and you have a bright a spacious common area for eating, reading or playing board games. Tons of classic movies and books on cinema to keep you occupied while you wind down from a day of touristing. Outpost Drive will take you to Hollywood & Highland (or Ralph's) in less than 10 minutes. Frances is a gracious host who is there when you need her. We cannot recommend this home enough.

A beautiful stay!
We had a wonderful time at Frances’ guest house. The place is lovely and clean and Frances is a caring and conscientious host. The garden views was heavenly, the sleeps were sound, and everything was beyond our expectations!

I am a European journalist who has been covering Hollywood for over 30 years. My life and privilege have been to interview and learn from every major Hollywood talent: their dreams, ups and downs, successes and failures. Here is where I interviewed Hollywood stars from Catherine Zeta-Jones to Arnold Schwarzenegger just to name a few. The property has been used for fashion shots and as a movie set. For me, Los Angeles means sunshine, blue wide-open sky, diversity of people, natural wonders, individuality, unimaginable cuisine and a "The sky is the limit" attitude. What I love about my property is the location: far away and yet so close to the hustle and bustle of Hollywood.

Why they chose this property

As soon as I came to Los Angeles, my dream was to live on Mulholland Drive which - for me - is as historic as a cathedral in a European city. MULHOLLAND DRIVE is a painting by David Hockney. The movie MULHOLLAND DRIVE by David Lynch was an international success and last but not least Tom Petty refers to “Glide down over Mulholland" in the hit song FREE FALLIN'.
