Fantastic spot!
The pictures don't lie. The property is stunning and my boys (7 and 10) couldn't get enough of playing on the rocks, watching the crabs and other critters when the tide went in and out, and enjoying the open space on the cove. Cheryl was wonderful to deal with, had great suggestions for activities in the area, and was attentive to all our needs. The perfect host! We hiked out to Barred Island, found beautiful shells on Sand Beach, kayaked to Little Sheep, took a lobster boat cruise on the Isle au Haut mailboat, and went on a harbor tour with Old Quarry. Kids got to swim at the quarry pond on Green Island--a real treat. The house itself was very clean and comfortable, with tons of great reading material and amazing views of the cove. The fire pit was set up for us when we arrived and we made good use of it, roasting smores and enjoying the beautiful evenings. We loved exploring Stonington and Deer Isle and definitely hope to return! Thank you for your hospitality!

Outstanding waterfront property
We wanted to thank Cheryl and Steve for a wonderful vacation week. It was a pleasure to meet Steve and swap stories about traveling the logging roads of the North Maine Woods. We also wanted to compliment them on their amazing house. One of our party is an excellent cook and we were blown away by the quality of the tools available to her during our stay. The second she saw Le Creuset pots, she knew we selected a great rental. I was thrilled by the quality of the books you’ve selected for both adults and children. It was a treat to spend evenings thumbing through different things. So often, when we visit a vacation rental, it feels like we love the trip but can’t wait to return the comfort of our own home. In the case of your property, it fit our style so perfectly it felt as if we’d designed, decorated and equipped it ourselves. Although the property is on a tidal cove, there is water in the cove for approximately 3 hours of either side of high tide making for great paddling. The house is also set in a private community with twisty dirt roads that provided for excellent running. Thanks again for your hospitality.

Paradise!
My husband and I recently spent a week at this beautiful property. The pictures couldn't possibly show all of the charm it has to offer. The owners left no stone unturned, providing every little amenity to have the most comfortable, "feel like you're in your own home" type of stay. When we arrived and opened the front door we were stunned by how gorgeous, not to mention immaculate it was. The beds are extremely comfortable with plenty of pillows, crisp sheets and blankets to spare. We spent a lot of time cooking in the fully stocked kitchen, enjoying warm sunny days on the decks and making S'mores in the fire pit at night. The town of Deer Isle is very quaint with picturesque water views. We took a ride to Nervous Nellies to see what all the hype was about and bought some delicious Jam, it's worth the trip to check out the decor there too. One more important thing to mention, we could hear a pin drop at night it was so quiet and peaceful. I don't think we've ever experienced utter silence like this. We had the most restful sleep imaginable. All in all this is a spectacular home, and the owners, Cheryl and Steve were extremely responsive. You never know what you will find once you arrive at an online rental, but this place offered everything it advertised and more. I can't think of another thing that could have been done to make our stay any better. Thank you Cheryl & Steve, this was one of the Best vacations we've ever had.

A Dream House in Maine
We feel quite lucky to have found this beautiful home for our stay in Maine! Everything exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed the extraordinary views of the water from the large windows and decks. The home is located on a picturesque, wooded, and secluded point. It was fascinating to watch the tides come and go. When the tide was low little islands appeared and, with the binoculars provided, you could often see a few people bending over looking for clams. This home is decorated beautifully - very warm and inviting. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need for cooking. We didn't cook at much as we thought, however, because the local area of Deer Isle and Blue Hill had wonderful places to eat. We enjoyed several excursions to Acadia, but spent most of our days exploring beautiful Deer Isle. Stonington is a painter's dream. The sunsets are spectacular from many sites on the island. We are looking forward to our next visit!!

A wonderful quiet place to relax...
Time spent at your cottage was simply wonderful. We loved the house and cooking in it. The view from the master bedroom was amazing and that blanket of fog moving in over the cove at dusk was magical. We are very grateful for the use of your place, it surpassed our expectations. Hopefully, we'll get to visit some more, soon! Aya and JS, Montreal Canada
